YEREVAN. – The Russian border guards, who monitor the Armenia-Turkey boundary, detained, in the early morning hours on Sunday, a man who had illegally crossed the border from Turkey.
The Russian border protection department confirmed this information which Armenian News-NEWS.am received.
After a search, a person with a Czech Republic visa was detained. The border trespasser spoke neither Russian nor Armenian, and the Russian border guards handed him over to the National Security Service (NSS).
The NSS Press Center confirmed to Armenian News-NEWS.am that he is a citizen of the Czech Republic.
