Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian on Tuesday met in Geneva, Switzerland, with Joachim Rücker, President of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

The interlocutors reflected on the UNHRC discussion in January devoted to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Armenia and the respective assessments.

Nalbandian informed Rücker that Armenia, as an important player in the international community’s fight in opposition to crimes against humanity, is submitting the Genocide Prevention Resolution for the approval of the 28th Session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

He stressed that it is important that the UN member countries express their unconditional support to the collective international efforts to prevent new crimes against humanity.
