Amal Clooney has been named the second most powerful Arab woman in a list by Arabian Business Magazine.
Sheikha Lubna Al Qassimi, the United Arab Emirate’s first ever female minister, tops the list of “The 100 Most Powerful Arab Women 2015” .
According to the magazine, Amal Clooney has been one of the most high-profile and busy lawyers and activists in recent years. It is mentioned that she had clients such as Julian Assange and Yulia Tymoshenko. Earlier this year she began work on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, and recent reports suggest she is set to represent 14 Irish men who claim they were tortured by the British Army, the Arabian Business Magazine writes.
Number 35 in the list is Joelle Mardinian, prominent make-up artist and TV star. Mardinian, who has Armenian roots, is also the official regional creative director for world famous cosmetics brand Max Factor, for which she created a summer 2014 look.
