YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador to The Philippines, Raisa Vardanyan—whose diplomatic residence is in the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi—, on Tuesday met with undersecretary Adrian Cristobal of the Department of Trade and Industry of The Philippines.

The interlocutors conferred on the avenues for the development of bilateral relations in trade and economy, informed the Armenia MFA press service. They also exchanged views on potential cooperation projects in several domains.

Ambassador Vardanyan also briefed the Filipino official on the process of Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). She noted that joining the EEU has created new opportunities for the country’s economic development, and its more active involvement in international economic cooperation.

In addition, the diplomat spoke about Armenia’s ongoing collaboration with US, European countries, and the European Union.

Vardanyan and Cristobal also reflected on Armenia’s investment climate, the continuing investment projects in the country, and the chances of Filipino companies’ participation in these programs.
