YEREVAN. – From now on, the prices of medication in Armenia will be  under state regulation.

The aforementioned is noted in the new edition of the Law on [Medical] Drugs, which was approved at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

The Minister of Health, Armen Muradyan, stated that a state commission will be conducting this regulation.

The bill includes requirements when advertising medical drugs. Accordingly, the packaging shall not have any advertisement.     

In addition, it will be prohibited to place information about the therapeutic traits of non-medicine, including cosmetics and bio-additives.
