YEREVAN. – Ruling Republican Party of Armenia MP and businessman Samvel Aleksanyan has reached an agreement with the world-renowned French Carrefour hypermarket chain.
Accordingly, Carrefour will not import sugar into Armenia, and in return, the MP will sell sugar to the hypermarket chain.
Opposition Armenian National Congress National Assembly (NA) Faction member Nikol Pashinyan stated the aforementioned at Thursday’s parliament session.
“This is the very anti-competitive agreement,” Pashinyan added.
To note, the NA is debating on the annual program of the Armenian State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition.
