YEREVAN. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) Defense Army serviceman Gor Darmanyan remains in very critical condition.  

The director of the Armenian Ministry of Defense Central Clinical Military Hospital in capital city Yerevan, Aram Asaturyan, told about the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To note, Darmanyan was wounded on March 19, and while defending against an Azerbaijani military infiltration attempt.

“There is a slight positive trend in Gor’s [health] condition, but his condition remains very critical,” Asaturyan said. “He is still in the Stepanakert [i.e. the NKR capital city] [military] hospital; he will be transferred to Yerevan when his condition permits.”

He also informed that a group of physicians had traveled from Yerevan to Artsakh, where they now provide the needed medical assistance to the wounded soldier.

To note, Gor Darmanyan’s leg was amputated.

As reported earlier, an enhanced team from Azerbaijan’s special military detachment launched an attack, on March 19 at around 8:30am, on the NKR Defense Army positions stationed in a northerly (Gyulistan) direction. 

As a result of the skirmish that lasted about two hours, however, the Armenian military position holders and the relief forces compelled the adversary to flee. Subsequently, they pursued the said Azerbaijani military team and completely crushed them nearby their own military position.            

Unfortunately, NKR Defense Army servicemen Hakob Khachatryan (born in 1996), Eduard Hayrapetyan (born in 1995), and Arshak Harutyunyan (born in 1995) died, and four others were wounded while confronting the adversary. One of the wounded soldiers, Samvel Hakobyan (born in 1995), died in hospital on Thursday, March 26.
