YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, does not exist for the leaders of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

Opposition Armenian National Congress National Assembly (ANC NA) Faction Secretary Aram Manukyan stated the aforementioned at Friday’s NA briefings.

He said this while commenting on Presidents Vladimir Putin’s (Russia), Alexander Lukashenko’s (Belarus), and Nursultan Nazarbayev’s (Kazakhstan) meeting that was held on March 20 in the Kazakh capital city of Astana.

“Our leadership says the three leaders discussed the internal problems, whereas Armenia has no problems with the [other] EEU [i.e. Eurasian Economic Union] member countries [, namely, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan],” the ANC MP noted and added: “But there cannot be a problem, let’s say, between Russia and Belarus, which does not relate to us [, Armenia].”

In his view, it is not difficult to predict what will happen in the future. The next meeting will be on May 8, a day before the World War II Victory Day anniversary.

“Armenia will be invited to the [respective] military parade and celebrations. But when the practical talks begin, Armenia will be left out again. They may invite [Armenia] to the dinner reception, but not near the negotiating table,” Manukyan noted. “Without discussing with anyone, the adventurist policy toward the two blocs can make Armenia an axis for the Europe-Russia clashes.”
