French President François Hollande’s Socialist party has lost in numerous regions in Sunday’s local elections.
The party was successful in solely thirty local “departements,” in the case when it had held over sixty departements before the election, Reuters reported.
Ex-president Nicolas Sarkozy-led Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) and its allies, on the other hand, are wining in 66 to 70 departements.
Marine Le Pen’s Front National (FN), however, could not achieve success in any department, albeit it had recorded high results in the election, Gazeta reported.
