YEREVAN. – The meeting of Russian, Belarus and Kazakh leaders in Astana did not require obligatory participation of Armenia, Minister of Economic Integration Vache Gabrielyan told reporters.

Commenting on a remark that Eurasian integration was one of the issues on the agenda that also affects Armenia, Gabrielyan opposed: “When Francois Hollande meets with Angela Merkel, they definitely discuss European issues, but this does not mean that the leaders of more than twenty countries must be present. There are different formats for the discussion of common issues in the Eurasian Union, including Supreme Economic Council. Armenia participates in these formats.”
