YEREVAN. – The World Bank forecasts a 0.8% economic growth in Armenia in 2015, Ms Laura Bailey, WB country manager for Armenia, told the media on Tuesday in Yerevan.
Projections of economic growth in Armenia in 2015 need to be more cautious, given the recession in the region, particularly Russia, she added.
That very modest forecast could still be affected, tipping into negative, in case of unforeseen economic developments in Russia or Europe, or sharp exchange rate fluctuations, Bailey said.
In January, the Central Bank of Armenia estimated the GDP growth in 2015 at 0.4 – 2%.
