This year, seven Armenian-American will be among the recipients of the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor, reported Asbarez.

The National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations, which awards the medals, announced that Harry Nadjiarian, Vahe Karapetian, Mike Sarian, Christopher Atamian, Ted Chaglassian, Mike Joulakian, and Simon Krikor Simonian will receive medals of honor.

The award ceremony of the Ellis Island Medals of Honor will be held on May 9.
