YEREVAN. – The Armenian public does not have a clear approach toward the non-working Mondays following the Church holidays.

The Government Chief of Staff-Minister, Davit Harutyunyan, stated the aforesaid at Thursday’s Cabinet session.

“Owing to this [i.e. the non-working Mondays], our faithful can visit the graves of their relatives [on the Mondays of the remembrance of the dead].

“[But] there is an ambiguous attitude among the society toward our [respective] decision [on declaring the Mondays following the Armenian Church holidays as non-working days in the country].

“They speak about the difficulties in organizing the work week, since they lose one work day in the beginning, and then they make up for it at the end of the following week.

“In this connection, we propose to discuss this procedure,” Harutyunyan said, in particular.
