Chairman of the Armenian State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (ASCPEC), Artak Shaboyan, traveled to Kazakhstan on a two-day official visit.

In the Kazakh capital city of Astana, Shaboyan is participating in the meeting of the heads of the competition authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states (Armenia, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan).

At the event, the ASCPEC chief informed his colleagues that ever since Armenia’s EEU accession, several businesses in the country had petitioned to the aforesaid state commission, and informed that they had encountered some problems when taking part in the public procurement tenders in the EEU member countries.

Artak Shaboyan proposed to carry out joint work to resolve this matter, and he underscored the creation of a respective single information database.
