During the panel session on Tuesday, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the draft EEC Board decision on making amendments to the list of service sectors (subsectors), ensuring the functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) single market for services. The aforementioned amendments will be made on occasion of Armenia’s accession to the Treaty on EEU. According to the Treaty approved on 10 October 2014, Armenian joins on a full scale the service sectors ensuring the functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) single market for services.

For Armenia the single market service list includes 43 sectors: 23 of those single market services are rendered to all the member states, the remaining 20 being provided to Armenia, Belarus and Russia.

The adoption of these amendments contributes to the possible reduction of service price for the population of the EEU countries, including Armenia. Conditions for ensuring free movement of services will be provided in the framework of the single market operation within the territory of EEU countries. Consequently, business in the field of services will be diversifies and new businesses will be established on the territory of EEU partner states.
