The former CEO of the Japanese Hitachi company, Tsugio Makimoto, who is also a recipient of the President of Armenia Award for the Information Technology (IT) Industry, is writing a Japanese-language book about Armenia.

Synopsys Armenia CJSC Director Hovik Musayelyan, who is also a member of the organizing committee for selecting the recipients of the aforesaid award, stated the above-said at a press conference on Saturday.

“The book will be published in the near future, and then everything else—organizing its presentation in Armenia, translating it into Armenian and English—is up to us,” Musayelyan noted. “Now, the [organizing] committee is selecting the next recipient [of the aforementioned presidential award].”

Tsugio Makimoto was presented this award in 2013. Makimoto had come to Armenia on this occasion, and in his words, he had taken back great memories from this trip.

Tsugio Makimoto, 76, is currently Senior Advisor at the Taiyo Nippon Sanso company of Japan.
