Flowers will be laid on Armenian Genocide Memorial in Venezuela’s capital Caracas on April 24, the Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional reports.

A day earlier, on April 23, Armenian St. Gregory the Illuminator Church located in Venezuela will live stream the canonization ceremony of all Armenian Genocide victims held in Armenia’s First-Throned Etchmiadzin.

A commemoration event will be held in Venezuela Conference Hall of Eurobuilding hotel in Venezuela.

The events will continue in Caracas during the entire 2015.

“Many scientists - including some Turkish ones – consider these tragic events as the first genocide of the 20th century. According to its investigation degree, this is the second genocide in the world after Holocaust,” the newspaper writes.

Venezuelan Parliament recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2005.
