As always, Ankara remains the villain in the Armenian Genocide recognition issue.

The advisor to the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, Paolo Bergamaschi, wrote the aforesaid in the Gazzetta di Mantova newspaper of Italy, and after a visit to Armenia.

“Many in Europe (…) deny the obvious facts, or attempt to unsuccessfully distort history, at every opportunity.

“The discussion on genocide reflects the fact that the international community has been unable to learn from history,” Bergamaschi specifically wrote.
