New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has signed a proclamation declaring April 24, 2015 as the Armenian Remembrance Day to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian National Committee of America reported.
“We honor the memories of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and pay tribute to the survivors, especially those who have established roots in New York, where new generation of Armenian Americans continues to thrive,” the document reads.
