YEREVAN. – A two-day global forum, which is titled “Against the Crime of Genocide” and devoted to the Armenian Genocide Centennial, got underway Wednesday in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan (photo).

The conference will discuss the not solely the Armenian Genocide, but the fight against genocide throughout the world.

The event coordinator is ruling Republican Party of Armenia MP Artak Zakaryan, who is also Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.

The participating parliamentarians are also expected to convene a plenary session against genocide, during which the representatives of parliamentary delegations will deliver remarks.

About 600 participants from fifty countries will take part in the forum.
