The Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Zoi Konstantopoulou, on Thursday will arrive in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

A representative of the Armenian community in Greece informed about the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In Yerevan, Konstantopoulou will participate in the two-day International Social and Political Global Forum against the Crime of Genocide. This forum is devoted to the Armenian Genocide Centennial, and it got underway on Wednesday.

According to the source, Greek MPs Giorgos Adamantidis and Athanasios Bouras also will pay a visit to Armenia, and together with the head of the Hellenic Parliament.

The source also informed that, owing to the efforts by the Armenian community in Greece, Armenian Genocide Centennial remembrance events will be held on Friday, April 24—the day of the genocide anniversary—, in four major cities in Greece, including capital city Athens.
