The Guardian daily of Great Britain has made a list of the most world-renowned Armenians.

“The Armenian diaspora, estimated at 10 million, is three times the population of Armenia itself.

“As with many diasporas, Armenians have often flourished in their adopted homelands, contributing to business and sport, as well as cultural and political life.

“That diversity is reflected in 10 of the world’s most famous people of Armenian descent,” the daily reported.

And the respective list includes singer Cher, TV personality Kim Kardashian, tennis star Andre Agassi, singer Charles Aznavour, Russia FM Sergei Lavrov, businessman Kirk Kerkorian, Formula One driver Alain Prost, singer Serj Tankian, actor Andy Serkis, TV presenter David Dickinson.
