YEREVAN. – The Armenian nation managed to preserve great culture and civilization despite difficult experience, Vice-President of the European Parliament Ryszard Czarnecki said during the global forum “Against the Crime of Genocide”.
“I represent the Polish nation that understands other nations for whom national pride is the most important value. I want to express my respect for the Armenian people, who went through the genocide, a national tragedy, but this genocide has become a part of world history,” said Czarnecki, adding that the Polish people also suffered genocide.
It is necessary to openly and loudly declare that Armenians died simply because they were Armenians and Christians, he added.
“I am honored to be here with you and work with you to show deep respect for the memory of dead Armenians and show our common European future,” said Czarnecki, expressing gratitude in Armenian language.
