YEREVAN. – Delegations from sixty countries will come to Armenia to attend the Armenian Genocide Centennial commemorations.

In addition, the Armenian Apostolic Church on Thursday will canonize the 1.5 million Armenian martyrs which the Ottoman Empire had killed.

On the same day at 19:15 (7:15pm), which symbolizes the genocide in 1915, the bells will sound one hundred times in the Armenian Apostolic Churches throughout the world. Several other Christian churches also will join this memorial sounding of bells.

And on Friday, April 24—i.e. the day of the genocide anniversary—, the renovated hall of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute will officially open in capital city Yerevan.

And an international forum will convene also on the same day.

The forget-me-not flower has become the symbol of the Armenian Genocide Centennial, it is disseminated through the social networking sites, and with the words, “I remember and demand.”
