YEREVAN. – Famous Russian journalist Vladimir Pozner is in Yerevan on the occasion of the Armenian Genocide Centennial.

“I was here 40 years ago when 60th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was marked. I do remember what was happening, I was in Etchmiadzin at that time. And when I was told that your president would be glad to see me, I definitely accepted the invitation. Somehow I want to be here on this day. In addition, I will be interviewing president Sargsyan for my program. So I will combine business with pleasure,” he told the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.

Pozner said he would most likely visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial during his three-day trip.

Asked what should occur for Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide, famous journalist said the Turks must become mature.

“They have to realize that when you plead guilty, you feel better then,” he added.
