ISTANBUL. – The Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople on Friday, April 24 [i.e. the day of the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide] offered a Divine Liturgy at the St. Mary Mother of God Armenian Church in Istanbul, and in memory of those who had died in 1915, reported Hurriyet daily of Turkey.
Turkey’s minister for European affairs Volkan Bozkir, US Consul General to Istanbul Charles Hunter, and Greek Patriarch Bartholomew I also attended this church service.
