YEREVAN. – Cardiology in Armenia is approaching the international level, Minister of Health Armen Muradyan said Tuesday in the National Assembly.

In his words, however, there is a lack of cardiologists not solely in Armenia, but in Germany and France.

“Cardiology, urology, [and] sports medicine are the [medical] fields in which, rest assured, our country is now known and in demand abroad.

“The flow of patients is increasing, including taking into account the modern infrastructure and professional training. The assistance by the prominent Diaspora [Armenian] doctors has played a major role in the development of the latter,” the minister also stated.
