YEREVAN. – Germany is not a country that will be subject to Turkey's pressure and threats, member of ARF Dashnaktsutyun Giro Manoyan said.

President Joachim Gauck has already done a lot by describing the 1915 events as genocide.

“The rest, that is the share of Germany's responsibility, is indicated in the Bundestag resolution as of 2005. I think that the thing that Germany does now is to make the present resolution undeniable,” Manoyan said. 

ARF Dashnaktsutyun member believes there is atmosphere in Germany when the step backwards is impossible. This is not a problem of dispute between an Armenian and a Turk, it is a matter of distorting the truth, and the Germans are supporting the idea that the truth must be set on their side.

As to the behavior of other countries of Eurasian Economic Union, except for Russia that has recognized the Armenian Genocide long ago, Manoyan said: “Let the Belarusians do not take offense, but Belarus is not a country whose position on this issue is important both for us and for the world. I believe that the position of the president of Belarus does not correspond to the real desires and expectations of the Belarusian people on the matter”.
