Los Angeles Councilmember Paul Krekorian has announced the beginning of a City of Los Angeles Armenian Genocide Centennial Book Drive for the Los Angeles Public Library. The drive will last till the end of May 2015.

The Drive is centered on acquiring donated new or lightly used books on the Armenian Genocide, Armenian history or culture, as well as those about other genocides. The books can be in English, Armenian or any other language, Asbarez reports.

Los Angeles Public Library branches will set bins where donors can drop off books. Books can also be donated at the office of Councilmember Krekorian at LA City Hall or at his North Hollywood District Office.
