YEREVAN. – The monument to German social activist Johannes Lepsius opened in the courtyard of the house-museum in Potsdam.
During the ceremony the speeches were delivered by the Minister of Education, Science and Culture of the Land Brandenburg Sabine Kunst, Potsdam MayorJann Jakobs , Charge d'Affaires of Armenia in Germany Ashot Smbatyan and director of the museum Rolf Gosfeld.
Organizers emphasized the symbolic opening of the monument dedicated to the “guardian a0ngel of the Armenian nation Johannes Lepsius” in the days when the events marking the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide are held throughout the world.
