STEPANAKERT. – Andrew Mambondiyani, a journalist from Zimbabwe who visited Nagorno-Karabakh for the first time, plans to become “informal ambassador” of the country in Zimbabwe.

“This is a fantastic country, I enjoy every day here. When I come back to Zimambwe, I will tell everyone about Karabakh. I managed to visit Shushi, Gandzasar, wonderful churches here,” he told reporters.

Andrew Mambondiyani said elections in Karabakh are more democratic than in his country. He believes that the fact that international community does not recognize elections is not significant.

“The people of Karabakh must decide what they want. The most important is that this elections could be fair, open and transparent. The United States do not recognize elections even in Zimbabwe,” he added.
