STEPANAKERT. – Parliamentary election in Karabakh are a proof of democratic processes in the country, MP from the State of Brandenburg Andreas Kalbitz told reporters in Stepanakert.

The observers visited both the polling stations upon the advice of authorities, and the polling stations they chose, Kalbitz said.

“I can say that elections in NKR were held in accordance with the international standards and in compliance with the law,” he added.

As to a remark that they may appear in a “black list” by Azerbaijan, the German lawmaker said it is his first visit to Karabakh and he is impressed by the country and citizens' interest in political processes.

“We are not interested in “black lists” of Azerbaijan on the way to promoting democratic processes in NKR,” he emphasized.
