YEREVAN. – The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, on Tuesday received a group of Diaspora Armenian members from the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) charitable organization.

Ohanyan highly praised the Motherland-Diaspora solidarity and unity around the idea of defending the Armenian homeland, informed the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. He also stressed that, owing to the Armenia-Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)-Diaspora trinity, Armenia is strong and invincible.

The minister drew a particular attention to two significant events for the Armenian nation in 2015. The commemorations of the Armenian Genocide Centennial, and the 70th anniversary of the ex-Soviet people’s—including the Armenians’—victory achieved in the Second World War.

He assured the guests that the Armenian armed forces carry out all of their tasks at a high level, and they retaliate in deserving manner to any encroachment by the adversary.

At the end of the talk, Seyran Ohanyan responded to the queries of the ARS members, and they discussed the possible domains of cooperation.
