YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on Tuesday chaired an analytical review devoted to the state, challenges, and development prospects of Armenia’s energy system.

The Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Areg Galstyan, presented the results of a comprehensive study on the country’s energy sector.

Next, the discussants exchanged views.

Abrahamyan, summing up the discussion, noted that the objective of the Government of Armenia is to ensure a long-term sustainable and secure energy system in the country. The PM also underscored the concerned departments’ continued cooperation in developing a new strategy, and instructed to amend the presented document with the recommendations that were made.
