YEREVAN. - Armenian Parliament may hold hearings on the amount of loan to be taken from Russia for extending the operation of the Armenian NPP, Armenian Parliament Speaker Galust Sahakyan said, responding to the statement by ‘Orinats Yerkir’ faction leader Heghine Bisharyan.

In her speech, Ms. Bisharyan said that the agreement on the credit from Russia for extending the Armenian NPP operation (ratified today) stipulates a loan up to US $270 million.

“We’d like to know what that ‘up to’ means, what amount we’ll borrow consequently and why,” Bisharyan said.

Responding to this statement, Armenia’s Parliament Sepaker Galust Sahakyan said that corresponding hearings will be proposed to be held on the matter.
