YEREVAN. – Nagorno-Karabakh is acting as any other country in the world and in fact is a democratic state, Santa Cruz County Clerk Gail Pellerin said.
Gail Pellerin was one of the observers for the parliamentary elections in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Speaking about international recognition of Karabakh, she said the more states adopt resolutions to recognize Karabakh, the greater will be a chance to persuade the U.S. government to adopt such a position.
The expert noted that Karabakh has leadership and efficient functioning election system.
“They are seeking ways to improve election process. This helps Karabakh population convince the others that they are an independent state,” Santa Cruz County representative told reporters.
