We nail no one to the pillar of dishonor. The killers who committed the genocide have long died, and their descendants cannot assume the accountability for the sin of their grandparents. But they should recognize their historical guilt.

MP Laurent Mosar stated the aforesaid at the Chamber of Deputies (parliament) of Luxembourg, as he introduced the resolution on recognition of the Armenian Genocide, reported Tageblatt.lu.

“It is important to point out the brutal genocide that was committed, and to especially honor the memory of the hundreds of thousands of victims.

“[But] our resolution is not against Turkey. Luxembourg maintains friendly relations with Turkey. (…) [But] their condemnation of the Armenian Genocide will be a strong sign. It will be a message to the fact that such a thing shall no longer be repeated,” Mosar said, in particular.

As reported earlier, the parliament of Luxembourg on Wednesday unanimously adopted a resolution on recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
