YEREVAN. – European countries have worked hard on higher education over the recent years, Latvia's Education Minister Marite Seile said during the opening of the Fourth Bologna Policy Forum in Yerevan (photo).

“We need to move forward taking into account the lessons. The Bologna process is a motivating factor for the growth of Europe. Contrary to some critics it is clear the European space of higher education has registered progress, economic crises was overcome. Of course, there are still obstacles that we need to overcome,” the Minister said.

Marite Seile thanked Armenian Education Minister for organization of the summit. According to her, the event is important for the analysis of existing problems and developing a strategy for future work.

Representatives of 147 countries and organizations, among them ministers of education from 20 countries have been invited to the forum.
