Two incidents occurred on the Armenia-Nakhchivan border. First, the territory with dry grass caught fire. Flame might spread on a wheat field near the village of Bardzruni.
According to NEWS.am sources, after the signal from Vayots Dzor was received, rescuers from Vayk and two firemen from Yeghegnadzor and five from Jermuk arrived at the site. About 100 hectares were burnt off.
On August 1, a mine went off in the territory where fire broke out. No victims were reported.
