Claude Goasguen, French MP and Mayor of the 16th arrondissement (district) of Paris, urged to gather for a demonstration in support of the Eastern Christians on May 20 in front of the Municipality of the district, the newspaper Nouvelles d'Arménie reports.
Besides, the Municipality of the 16th arrondissement of Paris will hold a conference on June 5 on the topic of the Armenian Genocide, with the participation of the historian Claude Mutafian. The conference will be attended by Armenia’s Ambassador to France Viguen Tchitetchian.
The conference will be organized in cooperation with Mayor Samia Badat-Karam and Philippe Panossian, Chairman of the Armenian General Benevolent Union’s (AGBU) District Committee of France.
