YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received a call on Sunday at 9:36pm.

Accordingly, a vehicle had gone off road in close proximity to Meghradzor village of the Kotayk Province, fallen into the nearby river, and rescuers were needed to bring its driver and two passengers—who have climbed on top of the car—out from the river.

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that the automobile (driver G. Sh., 32) had gone off road on the Hrazdan-Hankavan motorway for yet unknown reasons, and fallen into the Marmarik river.

The fire and rescue workers safely brought Y., 42, and S., 19, Kh., and G. Sh., 32, out of the river.

Special equipment is needed to remove the car from the river.
