YEREVAN. – Armenia's Justice Minister Hovhannes Manukyan said country's parole system requires reforms.

Taking into account the importance of the problem, especially in relation to those sentenced to life imprisonment, the authorities are to solve the issue, and therefore a political decision is needed, Manukyan told reporters.

The public and relevant state agencies are concerned over the problem of parole system. The Minister said discussions had been held as a result of which legislative proposals had been introduced.
