YEREVAN. – The Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, on Monday received the governor of Sweden’s Uppsala County, Peter Egardt.

Egardt is visiting Armenia to discuss the prospects for cooperation between the Uppsala County of Sweden and the Lori Province of Armenia.

Abrahamyan underscored the development of collaboration between the regions of the two countries. The PM also noted that Armenia attaches importance to the expansion cooperation with European Union countries, and in this regard, Sweden is an important partner for Armenia.

Egardt, for his part, noted that he is visiting Armenia for the first time, and he is impressed by the hospitality of the Armenian people. The Uppsala County governor stressed that Sweden attaches importance to the development of relations with Armenia, as an EU Eastern Partnership country, and taking of respective practical steps.

The interlocutors exchanged views on conducting cooperation and implementing projects in a variety of domains.
