YEREVAN. - There are objective reasons for the sugar import market concentration in Armenia, Armenian Finance Minister Gagik Khacahtrayan told Armenian News – NEWS.am at the Parliament on Monday.

Responding to the question whether the import of sugar in Armenia by one entrepreneur, namely Samvel Aleksanyan, can be justified, Khacatryan said: “For many years the given company has gained experience in trade and communication with partners, creating infrastructures, as a result of which it can receive more profitable procurement prices from suppliers at the expense of the market size. Thanks to this a company like this can save transportation expenses,” Khacatryan said.
