An explosion occurred Tuesday morning at a natural gas station in Zvartnots village of Armenia’s Armavir Province.
According to preliminary data, the blast occurred at the compressor station, and as a result, a Volkswagen exploded.
The Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the scene that the vehicle, which belongs to the relatives of former MP Hakob Hakobyan, was burned to a quite extensive degree.
In addition, Hakobyan’s brother and son as well as the natural gas station worker, who were next to the car, sustained injuries from the explosion.
According to our information, the natural gas station belongs to Hakob Hakobyan.
The firefighters are working at the scene.
The injured were initially taken to the Vagharshapat (also known as Etchmiadzin) city medical center, but, subsequently, they were transferred to capital city Yerevan.
