YEREVAN. – Next week, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (RPA NA) Faction will hold debates on the matter of electricity price hikes, Faction Head Vahram Baghdasaryan on Friday told reporters at the NA.

In his words, the main persons in charge of the country’s state-run agencies responsible for energy will be invited to this discussion.

“Of course, the discussion will not be one-sided,” Baghdasaryan said. “We will also present our arguments, we will debate.”

In the RPA MP’s view, such measures are better than street protests.

“This does not mean we are not interested in the issue of electrical energy,” Vahram Baghdasaryan added. “Simply, worrying doesn’t mean taking to the streets and shouting.”
