YEREVAN. – In 2014, a total of 130 children from Armenia’s orphanages have received social housing.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Artem Asatryan, stated the aforesaid at Friday’s National Assembly debates on the execution of the 2014 State Budget.

Asatryan informed that the majority of these orphanage children were housed in four residential buildings, which were constructed along the lines of a state program, in Maralik town in the Shirak Province.

Another 44 children from orphanages received apartments in a building in capital city Yerevan.

In addition, eight orphanage children were settled in the cottages of Spitak town in the Lori Province.
