YEREVAN. – The Armenian government has not yet decided on the policy of minimum wage.

Speaking in the parliament, Labor and Social Affairs Minister Artem Asatryan said a model should be formed that would reflect not only the amount of minimum wage, but other factors.

“We can set higher wage based on social demands. But what if employers start cutting jobs? We have to understand what is more important for us,” the Minister said.

A new model should be formed taking into account these factors, he added.
