The gross agricultural production of Armenia has increased by 7,2 per cent in 2014, reaching 993 billion AMD, Samvel Galstyan, Armenia’s Agriculture Deputy Minister said in the parliament on Friday.  

993 billion AMD out of the mentioned volume were spent on crop farming, 338 billion being allocated to cattle breeding. These areas have grown by 6,9 and 7,8 per cent respectively.

In 2014, agriculture constituted 19,7 per cent of the Republic’s GDP (in 2013 it made up 19,5 per cent).
