YEREVAN. - The quality of water in Armenia’s Lake Sevan significantly improved in 2014, Simon Papyan, Armenia’s First Deputy Minster of Nature Protection said in the parliament on Friday.

The transparency of the water has improved along with the recovery growth of the lake, he said. According to the monitoring, conducted in 2014, Sevan is visible at the depth of 11-12 m.

11 public beaches operate on the coast, 3 of them with full range of services. And this summer they will be joined by the fourth one, near Tsovagyugh village, Papyan said.
